AKTINA TV Report: Constantinides Announces Funding For District 22 Through Greener NYC Initiative

September 26, 2018 announcement by Council Member Costa Constantinides of the funding support he has allocated to local environmental and educational groups in his 22nd District through the Greener NYC Initiative. The report includes interviews with Council Member Constantinides and representatives from the local groups which received funding. A total of $70,000 from the NYC Council FY 2019 budget has been allocated to five different groups, among them, The Alley Pond Environmental Center, Global Kids, Serious Fun After School, New York Sun Works, and BioBus, a mobile lab.
The report originally aired on AKTINA TV – WNYE Channel 25 in New York on September 30, 2018. AKTINA TV, produced/hosted by Elena Maroulleti airs every Sunday 6-7pm. QNS.com – LIC Youthmarket Teaches Teens About More Than Just Business

Some are referred to Youthmarket after completing and a six-week-long summer internship at the Learn it, Grow it, Eat it Youthmarket in the South Bronx, where they are required to work in community gardens and teach elementary school children. Others are referred to Youthmarket through other youth leadership organizations like Global Kids or charities such as Bowery Mission.
