OF GK PROGRAMS

Academic Achievement

In our academic programming, we provide enrichment and intervention programs in both STEM and English language arts. 97% of GK Leaders graduate high school each year, as compared to the average graduation rates of 76% in NYC and 68% in Washington DC public schools.

College & Career Readiness

To prepare our youth for success in their chosen colleges and careers, we ensure that our students are exposed to and prepared for various post-secondary options. In addition to college and career readiness programming offered to all students, we provide individualized college guidance that augments our school partners’ capacity to support our students. Additionally, GK conducts college tours, offers career exploration programs and opportunities, and connects youth to paid internships. Global Kids continues to work with its youth one year following high school graduation to ensure not only their graduation but their success post-matriculation.

Social & Emotional Wellness

To support social and emotional wellness, GK provides both one-on-one and group interventions for participants facilitated by our Social/Emotional Wellness Teams, highly qualified staff and mental health experts who work with students and families to provide referrals, mental health counseling, restorative justice and practices, and socio-emotional learning support.

Global Citizenship

Global Kids (GK) develops core leadership skills through intensive leadership programming, service-learning projects in local communities, and international travel.
